NEWS1.05.2013 | Birthday gig changed venue Due to the cancellation of Żubrfestival 2013 where we were to celebrate our band's 4th birthday we were forced to look for an alternative solution, therefore the gig has been moved to a newly re-opened Pub 6-ścian. The event starts at 8:00 pm and the admission is free! We hope to see you all there and celebrate with us! 24.04.2013 | A new video We have recently made a video for one of the songs recorded during a rehearsal. We combined the rehearsal footage with some scenes filmed while on the road. So here it is:
21.03.2013 | Lithuania, here we come! The Spring Break Tour will resume next month in Lithuania. There are two shows confirmed as for now - in Vilnius (Metro club, Friday, 19 April), and in Klaipeda (RokoStotis club, Saturday, 20 April). We will be playing there together with a heavy metal band Wulture, and a death metal band Behind Grimace respectively. Since we have great memories from playing in Lithuania, we simply cannot wait to visit this country again! 3.03.2013 | Spring Break Tour part I So, we are back from the first two concerts of the Spring Break Tour. And what a great weekend it was! First, on Friday, we enjoyed a very good evening in Suwalki, and on Saturday we had a blast in Liepaja. We definitely will be back in both towns, maybe even this autumn. For a good start, here are a bunch of photos taken on the road. Check out our official Facebook profile for more photos, videos, reviews, etc. from these two concerts. 23.02.2013 | Live video from Sinta II Fest Although it has been a while since we visited Sintautai in Lithuania (August 2012), a few days ago there was uploaded a video of us performing "Leader of the Blind" at Sinta II Fest. So, we thought we would share it with you:
6.02.2013 | Spring Break Tour announced! We are extremely pleased to announce a set of spring concerts collectively called Spring Break Tour. The tour will commence on March 1st in Suwałki, and will conclude on May 3rd with our Birthday Party gig in our hometown Białystok. In between we will visit, for instance, Liepaja in Latvia, and Vilnius and Klaipeda in Lithuania. What is even more interesting, during these concerts we will play quite a few previously unheard tunes that will end up on our debut full-length album (which we will start recording this spring), with a tour finale that will see us play the album in its entirety! For the up to date list of scheduled concerts please refer to the Concerts section. We will be also informing you about the latest additions to the tour on our Facebook profile, so be sure to check it regularly. See you on the road! 9.01.2013 | Website revamped As you might have noticed the website has undergone some revamping. The looks have been tweaked a little bit, and so has been the content. From now on you can find our player in the Media section. Moreover, the list of interviews and reviews has been temporarily removed but should be back again in a few days. 21.12.2012 | "Welcome to the Wicked Side" EP available for free download! Exactly one year after the release of our very first EP "Welcome to the Wicked Side" (and on the day the world was to end; did it?) we decided to make it available for free download! So, by clicking here you can get the whole package that includes: If you like what you hear, there is still a possibility of obtaining this EP on an good ol' CD (and supporting the band a bit). Just drop us a line using the e-mail address in the contact section. 18.11.2012 | Made in Poland Minitour diary #2 The time has come for the second part of our minitour. First off, there was a gig in Warsaw. Despite the uninviting situation in the city that afternoon and evening (riots, closed streets, etc.) there were quite a few people in Fonobar. The concert itself went quite smoothly, without virtually any delays (which is rather unusual). To be honest, there is nothing much to be said - it was a heavy metal night with good music and great atmosphere. The next stop was our hometown - Białystok. And as I said during the show - there's no place like home. The audience was, as always, fantastic. They were screaming, shouting, singing along, headbanging - basically all one could wish for. It is always a pleasure to play in front of such a wonderful crowd. And I was surprised that despite us having had played six times in our town earlier this year there were still a lot of people eager to come and see us on stage. That's really uplifting. Unfortunately, due to financial and logistic problems, we had to cancel the show in Valga, but we managed to reschedule the Alytus show from Sunday to Saturday. Although we didn't have big expectations and we had some problems with finding the place, the show turned out to be a real blast! What a great way to conclude the tour! The club, albeit quite small, was literally packed with extremely friendly people. The audience was very responsive and enjoyed every single second of the gig. That was definitely a night to remember, and we are sure we'll be back next time around. Now, as the tour is over we cannot wait until we hit the road again. Nonetheless, in the coming weeks we intend to focus on extending our repertoire (that involve a bunch of brand-new original songs as well as some kick-ass covers that will surely surprise you), and polishing our performance, so we could be even more wicked next year. 5.11.2012 | Made in Poland Minitour diary #1 So, the first part of our long-awaited small minitour of Baltic States is over. During the last three days we visited Jelgava, Riga (both in Latvia), and Vilnius (Lithuania). Now it's time to drop you a few lines about how it all went. We started on Friday evening in Melno Cepurisu Balerija, a small club in the centre of Jelgava. To be honest, it was a bit odd to us that the gig was to start at 11 pm, but as it turned out later, this is when the parties start in Latvia. The club itself, albeit small, it's cosy, has a good vibe, and offers a wide selection of beverages. Much to our surprise we weren't the only foreigners, as there were a few guys from Italy, and a girl from Colombia who studies Lithuanian in Vilnius. I don't know if they stayed for the concert, but those who did (and it was quite a lot of them) enjoyed it, probably just as much as we did. The second show was to be played in Riga, some 50 km away from Jelgava. But it wouldn't be much of a tour without some unexpected situations. And in the morning, just before hitting the road, we found a flat tyre in our car. Thankfully, that was the only bad experience during the tour (if you exclude the incident with Latvian border guards the night before who wanted to fine us for a broken number plate light, but offered to let us get away with it in exchange for some money for vodka). So, A Nice Place, which took us a little while to find since it's entrance is quite small, is a really incredible place. Although situated in the cellar it has good acoustics, nice decor, and is generally speaking a nice place. What surprised us was that the entire show was recorded both on camera and on the mixing table (we will surely upload something in the coming weeks). Playing in such a club was a great experience and we'll be looking to come back there some time in the future. And Riga itself is a wonderful city. On Sunday we went to Vilnius to play in Dom Kultury Polskiej (Polish Cultural Centre). It was another great experience playing in such a big hall on an enormous stage. What is also worth mentioning is that we were received there as important guests. Much more important that we actually were. Nonetheless, the concert was alright, mainly due to the fact that the place isn't suited nor equipped for heavy metal. All in all, the very first part of the very first tour abroad was a great experience, and we all can't wait for some more! And as for those who weren't there, we will, apart from the aforementioned audio/video, post some photos in the coming weeks as well, so you all could see what you've missed out. 22.10.2012 | Made in Poland Minitour 2012 announced! We are extremely pleased to announce that in November we will, together with our heavy metal friends from Scream Maker, go for a small tour around Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Estonia. Below is the tour poster with the list of scheduled shows. Hope to see you all there supporting us and heavy metal!
22.10.2012 | Website launched! Hello everybody and welcome to the official Wicked Side website. It took us some time to finally put it up, and it is not entirely finished, however, you should be able to find all the basic and necessary information already. In the coming weeks we will add more galleries, probably also more options (such as download), as well as revamp some of the existing subpages. Nonetheless, welcome to the wicked site :) |
